I've been learning to sketch.
Art in school was form and color. Paint can morph many times, until the instructor is pleased.
Sketching is immediate. In my case it's also wonky. (which I've learned to enjoy.)
Lately I've been sketching corner churches.
this one is recent.
It started because:
I watched the new episodes of "The Crown." Like many viewers, I learned about Princess Alice for the first time. What a life! My first "Princess Alice" sketch was about her final resting place, Mary Magdalene Church in Jerusalem. She was declared "Righteous Among the Nations" for protecting many during the Second World War.
I suspect I'll return to learn more about her.
Meaningful stories . . everywhere.
